PEARLS for Teen Girls - Community

Milwaukee, WI (March 15, 2018) - Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers has announced that they’ll be supporting local non-profit, PEARLS for Teen Girls, at their 10th annual, “Woman Inspired to Lead” event as well as forming a partnership with the PEARLS' program.

Along with donating a strand of pearls for the PEARL'S event, which aims to ignite and celebrate women’s leadership and empowerment in the Milwaukee community, Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers is donating an additional 25 to 30 single pearl strand necklaces to PEARLS girls graduating from high school, as a symbol of strength and resilience in their possession.

In addition to a monetary contribution to support their mission, Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers will also work closely with PEARLS for Teen Girls to create and offer a paid-summer internship with the possibility of a scholarship to the Gemological Institute of America, the world’s foremost authority on diamonds, colored stones and pearls.

ABOUT PEARLS FOR TEEN GIRLS: Founded in 1993, PEARLS for Teen Girls was created to address the lack of adequate girl-focused programming in Milwaukee. The mission of PEARLS for Teen Girls is to improve the quality of life and strengthen our community one girl at a time by empowering young women with self-development tools, guidance and support to strive for better, brighter futures by living out the PEARLS values: Personal Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Respect, Leadership and Support. Since 1993, PEARLS has served thousands of girls and continues to grow and expand their reach.
