Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers announces partnership with FREESPACE
Milwaukee, WI (March 15, 2018) - Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers, a family-owned jewelry store based out of Whitefish Bay and Milwaukee since 1899, has just announced that they will be supporting FREESPACE for their “arts” pillar of their new four-pillar philanthropy program. The four pillars are: Education, Arts, Community and Health – which Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers’ strongly believes that E.A.C.H. of us can make a difference by giving back and working together in our Milwaukee community. To Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers, jewelry and design serves as communicative vessel for self-expression and artistry, which is why FREESPACE is such a great fit.
FREESPACE is a youth-driven community that hosts free, all-ages local music showcases at the Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts (JGCA) in Riverwest, founded by teacher Vincent Gaa and artists WebsterX and Kane. Every month, their team welcomes over 40 attendees and artists from around the city to enjoy dialog, self-expression and live music performances. The donation will go towards improving facilities for performances from Milwaukee artists, programming, and as always, to continue inspiring and developing the artistry, confidence and voice of Milwaukee teenagers.
In addition to a monetary contribution, Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers has added a link on their website to drive donations to FREESPACE and the Jazz Gallery/Riverwest Artist Association; and is available as a resource for teens who are interested in small business management, sales or jewelry design and repair. Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers is proud to be the organization’s first official donors and looks forward to seeing the donation enable FREESPACE to spearhead future fundraising, growth and successes.
